Migrate from HubSpot or Salesforce

Move your whole book of business in an afternoon. Export from your current CRM, upload, review, done.

The short version

  1. Export your data from HubSpot or Salesforce as CSV, one file per record type.
  2. In crmSpace, go to Imports, pick the record type, and choose HubSpot or Salesforce as the source. Standard columns map themselves; you review the rest.
  3. Follow the order the import page suggests: companies, then contacts, then leads, then deals, then activities. Records link up as they arrive.
  4. Preview the result, approve, and watch it run. Anything unreadable is listed row by row, and a finished import can be undone.

What makes it painless

  • Vendor presets recognise HubSpot and Salesforce export columns, so a standard export maps with no AI call and no guesswork.
  • Owners, notes, pipelines and stages travel with the records. Deal amounts, currencies and close dates are read properly.
  • Unmapped columns can become custom fields during the import, typed from the sampled values.
  • A dry run shows created, updated and failing counts before you commit. Undo backs out a mistaken import without touching what you built afterwards.

Questions

What comes across in a migration?

Companies, contacts, leads, deals and activities (calls, meetings, notes). Deals land in the right pipeline and stage, matched by name. Notes and descriptions land on each record's timeline.

Do I have to map columns by hand?

No. Tell crmSpace the file came from HubSpot or Salesforce and their standard export columns are matched automatically. Anything else, Claude proposes and you review before a single record is written.

Do records keep their owners?

Yes. An owner column of names or email addresses assigns each record to the right teammate. Anyone we cannot match stays with the person running the import.

Will I end up with duplicates?

No. Choose to update matching records instead: companies match on website domain, contacts and leads on email address, and are updated in place rather than duplicated.

Can I check before committing?

Yes, twice over. A dry-run preview shows how many rows would be created, updated or fail, before anything is written. And a completed import can be undone: it removes exactly what it created and keeps anything you have since built on.

What file types work?

CSV and Excel (.xlsx), up to 2 MB per file. Split a large export into several files.

What if we later want to leave?

Your data is yours. Every record type exports as CSV from its list page, at any time, in a format that re-imports cleanly, here or anywhere else.
